I have been a fan of these guys since their 2005 Victory Records album, "Undoing Ruin" (which was their fourth full length studio album), which I bought, like usual, because the cover art definitely screamed Heavy Metal. Now this American Metalcore band, "Darkest Hour", from Washington D.C., will be putting our their seventh full length studio album titled "The Human Romance".
This is the first release off of that album titled "Savor The Kill". I am definitely anticipating the release of this album after listening to this song. They slow their style on this song and incorporate more Groove Metal and Breakdowns, which I think is a key component to the "Perfect Heavy Metal" song. Not that I think they weren't already Masters of Metal, but from the sounds of it, I already like their transition already amazing Metal Riffs to a new balls out Groove Metal Style!

Rise Against is one of the few American Punk Rock bands that I absolutely can't get enough of!
These guys are from Chicago, Illinois, and formed back in 1999. Rise Against spent its first five years signed to the independent record label Fat Wreck Chords. Currently they are signed on with Interscope Records. Musically, as well as Lyrically, these guys are so far ahead of their competition as far as Punk Rock goes. They Mix up their style throwing in more complexity into their music, than your normal "Punk Rock" band and as far as I'm concerned, That is why they have made it to where they are at, striving to be not just another fast-paced, three chord, Punk Rock Band. These guys incorporate alot of different musical genres into the composition of their songs giving their fans a variety of styles all in one. They definitely bridge a gap between American Punk Rock and Metal, throwing in incredible guitar riffs and lyrics that anyone, no matter where life has taken you, can relate to and, in my opinion, that is why the have the broad range of fans that follow their every step, soaking up all that is Rise Against.
This is the first single titled "Help Is On The Way", off their sixth studio album titled "Endgame"
which is scheduled to release on March 15, 2011.

"Siren Song Of The Counter Culture"
I just checked out these guys for the first time and I definitely see potential. I’m not completely sold on the digital synth they put in their music, but their instrumentation definitely crunches some metal!
They are Across the sun from Portland, Oregon. They formed back in2004 and have put out three previous EP’s: “This War” (2006), "Storms Weathered" (2008), and "Pestilence & Rapture" (2009). In 2010 they were signed on with the almighty Metal Blade Records and my guess is they will be womping the tour scene from here on out! They are releasing a full length studio album titled "Before The Night Takes Us" on March 15, 2011. This is a song off that album titled "Song For The Hopeless".
Like I said earlier. I'm not sold yet on the digital, but I am a fan of digital synth with Heavy Metal, but it has to be done correctly as to enhance and accompany the deep, heavy breakdowns and the melodic metal riffs. Many great heavy metal icons have done it and I have no doubt that they will pull it off as well. I love the excellent vocals of clean, powerful singing meshed with strong screaming and powerful growls. The instrumentation has a excellent Groove Metal meets Thrash metal and gives them a versatility to attract multiple genres of metal fans.
I wish them all the luck and definitely look forward to what they have to come!
